John M. Dohner

Practicing in Ohio since 1986, he has focused exclusively on divorce and family law for over 25 years.

Attorney Dohner earned his law degree from the University of Akron. With a legal career distinguished by knowledge and experience, he obtained certification from the Ohio State Bar Association as a Family Relations Specialist — only select lawyers earn this designation based on experience, trial advocacy, legal knowledge, and professional integrity. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, among fewer than 50 attorneys admitted from Ohio. In addition, he is a certified Family Law Arbitrator and makes full and effective use of mediation, arbitration, and collaborative law methods to resolve disputes outside of court.

Dohner has been qualified as an expert on antenuptial agreements and has testified at trial on that subject. He is known for his strong advocacy and problem-solving skills in complex asset division and other difficult legal matters.
