Robert A. Letson

Mr. Letson is a Certified Specialist in Family Relations Law by the Ohio State Bar Association since 2021 as well as a Fellow with the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers since 2024. Attorneys with these credentials have met and displayed a high level of expertise, professionalism, and reputation in their field of practice.

Mr. Letson advises clients on a broad range of matrimonial and family law matters, from contested litigation, settlement and separation agreements, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, child custody and parenting time issues, and spousal and child support matters. As a former felony prosecutor, he has extensive trial and courtroom experience. With his experience and expertise, Mr. Letson frequently navigates complex cases, including those with nuanced legal and factual considerations, as well as difficult opposing personalities, while advancing his client’s positions to achieve the best result. Mr. Letson has a great deal of experience related to post-judgment proceedings as well, as he routinely appears in family courts throughout Ohio. He has litigated appeals, including in the Supreme Court of Ohio. He works with his clients in mediation or arbitration as an alternative to traditional litigation.

He has numerous publications and presentations, including on topics relating to prenuptial agreements, litigating allegations of child abuse, and the use of expert testimony in litigation. He has served as an expert witness in matters relating to Ohio domestic relations law and criminal investigations.
